Hey, just got this card.
http://content.hwigroup.net/images/products/xl/200070/s...

I even have some MX-2, and because Sapphire has not much issues separating the PCB from the cooler, like a sticker on a screw for example to prevent me from accessing the inner parts (altho it voids warranty, there's no way them to find out), so I decided to replace the thermal paste.

I unscrewed all 4 screws, but still cannot separate it. I looked for some more screws, but couldn't find any!

These four screws (don't mind it's r9 270x, it looks rather similar).

So, four screws off. It also has some weird black things, that look like screws but they aren't. They appear to hold the PCB to something, but they aren't. They're just through the pcb's screw holes, but nothing else.

Can anyone help me? :(

This is what I used to replace my friends GPU's compound, pretty straight forward.

Well, sure. Replacing the compound is the easiest part, but i can't undestand how to separate that PCB from the cooler.

Yes, i reached that step where he separates PCB from the cooler, by removing all four screws. I even applied some force, but i don't want to tear it apart!

Maybe heat it up a little in a slight stress test?

Yeah, done. Played some games, CPU went over 70 degrees, but still. It's too tough.
I'll post some photos tommorow.

There you go.

These four screws got unscrewed. There's no other I can find on the whole card.
Only this that bothers me are these black things, they appear to be holding PCB to the cooler but apparently they don't. They end in middle air.
I guess you can tell by the photos.

Sooo, you unscrewed the four middle screws correct?

Did you try to pinch the black plastics?

Yes, I unscrewed them.

As i said, these black plastics doesn't seem to hold anything. They're stuck in the middle air through PCB.

I had the same problem and managed to remove by pushing the dissipator from the backpart of the gpu with my nÂș1 phillips (same I've use to remove the screws)

More clear, i've pushed the metallic part from where I removed the screew trying to avoid the screwdriver to touch the board. That way I was able to apply a decent force withouth forcing the board and preventing it to break.

So: remove the screws and push perpendicularly one of the very same holes from where you took one of the screws from the back of the card.
