Losing all game sound USB headset Windows 8.1

Hi all,

I am using a wireless USB headset for gaming on my PC, but every now and again the game sound cuts out completely. I can still hear Comms. such as Skype and TeamSpeak fine though. I have to exit the game and reload it to get the sound back.

Can anyone help?

Running Windows 8.1, 4770k, 8GB RAM, GTX 780.

This occurs when Windows detects incoming voice. Sometimes it gets stuck or triggers inappropriately. To fix this, go to the Windows Audio panel, and under the Communications tab select "Do nothing" rather than "mute all other sounds"

Make sure that the headset is set to "Default Device" and "Default Communication Device"

OK well I've been gaming for a couple hours now, nothing has gone wring so far, but some days are just better than others. I'll give it a few more hours and if nothing goes wrong I'll mark best answer

Just came on this morning and was on for about 10 mins and all game sound went. Any ideas?

I've got nothing more. Make sure that all of the drivers are up to date along with any firmware.
