Having just brought a brand new H100i for my corsair 350D and Maximus Gene MATX MOBO I am having a couple of issues concerning where to plug everything in. So far I ve only managed to connect the corsair link USB cable. I have 2 aftermarket fans with 3-pin headers on them for the rad, but I can't plug them into the pump or use the 2 fan splitters to join them up as.

Many thanks for your time and hope you can help

You should be plugging 3 things into the pump. One is the SATA power connector, two is the USB, and three is a splitter that comes with the unit that will be four pin fan headers that you can put the three pin plugs for your aftermarket fans into. The pump should have space for 2 of those for a total of four fans if you want to. You can plug the three pin into the four pin you just won't be able to adjust the rpm of the fans. I'm doing this from memory so I'm sorry if I have misstated something. If you are confused about anything there are some great youtube video tutorials showing step by step how to install these coolers. I can link one for you if you can't find one, shouldn't take more than a quick Google search :-)

PS - the fan splitters do have a cover on the pins you need to take off first though, you should be able to pull them off.. IT may look like a female connector at first, but it is just a cover protecting the pins.

Thanks a lot! I just removed the covers over the pins and bingo!

Only think I have to work out now is where the SATA cable goes?

I looked at a few YT videos but they all seemed to skip the plugging in of the cables.

The SATA power cables should come off of your power supply, they are the same connectors used for hard drives, SSDs, and dvd/bluray drives. If you don't have any spare you should be able to find splitters online or at a computer supply shop. You can either go with a SATA splitter or a 4 pin molex to SATA adapter whichever is easier or available in your PC. Do you need some pics to identify them?

Yeah pictures would help. I don't have a power supply in yet. I meant for the h100i

This is the SATA power connector, and it should already be attached to the block, you just need to connect it to your power supply when you get it. It is the wider of the 2 shown. The other is a 3 pin connector for a fan header on your mother board I think.

Ok I ve just re read what you said an I see now how you meant it connects to my power supply once I have it installed. I thought it connected to the motherboard or something.

Thanks for your help!
