WiFi Affecting my Wired PC's connection speed.

So I play LoL, but I have noticed that every time someone of my family connects to the WiFi, my league ping increases rapidly. I know that my connection is pretty fast. I can be downloading with 15mb/s and still maintain 40 ms in LoL, but when the laptop is used (mainly just for browsing) I get insane ping.

That's how the network works. You have to share the network(internet) with the laptop.

Hi,

If you have 15 mb/s and if only one person streams video slowdown wire network means you router is having problems.

Try resetting it.

What model router do you have ?

Another fix is bandwidth throttling (or shaping) which allows you to limit the amount of bandwidth to the laptop(or an application). Not all routers allow for this.
