I am having an issue with my wired connection dropping on my Windows 7 64-bit computer for about 5-10 seconds, then coming right back up and working like normal. This issue seems to be intermittent, is not on any sort of schedule, I've seen the drops as close as 10 minutes, and as long as 2 days apart. On a normal day, I've seen probably 10-12 drops in eight hours. This is a huge issue for me because I work from home. This issue occurs with or without my vpn software or work tools, so it cannot be related to work in any way. Other computers in the house which are also wired are having no similar issues and use the same tools for work that I do.

Info about connection:
Realtek PCI GBE Familly controller
90 mb internet connection
modem is a ubee DVW3201B
disabled onboard nic, added another nic into pc.
all 4 ports on modem have been tested, multiple ethernet cords have been tested.
4 modems have been replaced
ISP has been out here numerous times, connection has been troubleshot to the modem and everything seems to be working fine, no noise on line, or packet loss.
tried google dns
tried static ip
disabled wireless controller

Work done to computer:
Multiple different virus scans and other malware removal programs have been run on the computer.
Windows has been reinstalled, issue stopped for 2 days then returned. (everything was downloaded fresh, all drivers were updated)
bios was updated to newest version
"allow the computer to turn off device to save power" disabled for nic
tested drivers automatically installed by windows, and also downloaded realtek drivers to test.

I am out of ideas, several people have suggested a motherboard issue, but it does not make any sense, due to the issue occurring with a separate ethernet card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated in figuring out the cause of this issue. If any more info is needed, please let me know.

Having the same issue with a Ubee modem, 2nd one ive replaced for the same issue actully.
Also did a fresh install and it also returned after a few days.
Also work from home and use Skype a lot to keep in contact with clients and am getting sick of having the call drop with them.

Did you find a fix?
