I'm going to build my first PC and have come up with a parts list. Before I start buying anything, I just wanted to make sure that everything is compatible and will work. These are the parts -

CPU - AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8350 4.00Ghz
GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 770 Twin Frozr Gaming Edition Graphics Card
Motherboard - Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 AMD AM3+
RAM - Corsair Memory Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz Dual Channel
Hard Drive - Seagate ST1000DM003 1TB SATA 3 Hard Drive 7200rpm 64MB Cache
Optical Drive - LiteOn IHAS124-14

I haven't included the PSU because I'm not 100% sure of the power cables that my PSU will need for each component, so if you could also let me know the power connectors for each component, that'd be great.
Finally, where do case fans get their power from? The motherboard or the PSU? And what cables are required for them?

The 770 will require two 8 pin PCI power cables (most likely the 6+2 cables). I could go into listing out all the power connections, but it's easier to say, for a single 770, get a 600w PSU. For a 2 way SLI, 750 or 850w PSU.

I personally recommend Corsair HX 650 or Seasonic X series. However, Antec and XFX make good power supplies as well.

You can connect case fans directly to the motherboard where you can control the fans RPMs. Or you can buy an adapter from molex to 3/4 pin fan connectors where they can run on max all the time or with a fan controller.

To add, the motherboard you selected has the following fan connectors:
1 x CPU Fan connector(s) (1 x 4 -pin) (for CPU)
1 x CPU OPT Fan connector(s) (1 x 4 -pin) (for CPU water pump if purchased)
4 x Chassis Fan connector(s) (4 x 4 -pin) (case fans)

Everything seems compatible, only thing I can recommend is get rid of that seagate and add a hiatchi or WD caviar blue instead. Seagate currently has one of the highest failure rates, and it is significantly higher than WD or hitachi.
