Hey guys! First time poster, long time lurker :)

I'm about to make the big transaction on my new PC! I just thought I'd run it on by these forums to see if you guys have any constructive criticism to make this PC even better! Just let me know if I'm overshooting (or under!) on any of these components. Bear in my mind my intended use for this PC is to play the games that I love with ultra texture mods (Dark Souls/Dark Souls II) at a high FPS!

CPU: NEW! Intel Core i5 4670K
CPU Cooler: Zalman CNPS5X Performa
Operating System: Windows 8.1 (64-bit)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87-HD3
RAM: 8GB Corsair 1600mhz Vengeance (2x4GB)
Hard Drive: 1TB S-ATAIII 6.0Gb/s
Optical Drive: 22x DVD±RW DL S-ATA
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2GB
Sound card: Onboard 7.1 Audio
Case: Zalman Z11 Plus
PSU: 650W Corsair VS
Warranty: 3 Year SureCare Warranty

Psychologically debating with myself... I'm wondering if that PSU is powerful enough for this build, and whether or not I can just roll with the stock mobo?

The current price of this build stands at £862.39, please bare in mind I really can't afford to go any higher than this.

Thanks for looking all!

Everything looks pretty good the way it is.

For a cpu cooler i'd like to see a coolermaster hyper212 evo.

If its in the budget, gigabytes z87x line, not much more, has more connectors on the mobo for peripherals if you need them and some better features, but the one you have now is fine.

That PSU will run this build fine. I would stay with the Gigabyte Z87 if and only if you are wanting to OC your CPU (guessing you will be since you want the 4670k). If not then I would go with the stock MOBO and save a little money on the CPU and not get a K (unlocked CPU). Also If you do not OC just use the stock CPU cooler and save some more money.

Thanks for the swift replies guys!

@woltej1 Unfortunately that cooler isn't really within my budget range at this point, however, I will definitely look toward upgrading to it in a coupleo f months time!

@nekko Yep! I'm not personally over clocking the CPU myself, but it will be getting a moderate OC to about 4.2 Ghz.

Do you guys know roughly of the sort FPS or performance I'd be seeing from this rig in some classic games that just about everyone owns on the PC? Bit of a vague question now that I think about it...

this is what you are lookign at for Battlefiled 3: http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2013/05/31/nvidia-geforce-gtx-770-2gb-review/3

So I image old games should be way up there on FPS. I mean that is constant 76-91 FPS for BF3 at 1920x1080. That's great.

The Cooler Master 212 Evo is a solid choice but if you have a flexible budget I'd go with a Noctua NH-U9B instead or even the mighty D14.
