I just purchased a new mobo, cpu and ram. After putting my comp back together the power won't switch on. I re-checked all of my connections. The only thing I could think is my psu is a 4 pin and my mobo has an 8 pin. I bought the 4pin-8pin extension but still won't start. Any suggestions?

Unless you have one of those super-high-power FX9xxx chips or ~5GHz OC FX8xxx, you do not need the 8-pin EPS connector, only four pins should do.

If the PC does not turn on at all, that usually either means your power button is not wired properly, you have a short somewhere, the PSU is not turned on (hard-switch on the back if it has one) or the PSU is not working for some other reason.

When you push the "ON" button on your computer what you're actually doing is telling the MB to turn on the PSU. Since you have the same button and the same PSU as before and a different MB logic would dictate the MB is bad or the switch or PSU connector is improperly installed to the MB.
