DVI-D port on my Radeon HD 7790 isn't working, but DVI-I is.

Like the title says, only the DVI-D port doesn't work on my Radeon HD 7790; both the DVI-I and the HDMI ports work, and I can't figure out what the problem is.
I've updated the drivers, tested two displays in the port and tried to Detect while both were plugged in at the same time and nada.

DVI-I is the same as DVI-D, but is also compatable with an Analog device.

Therefor DVI-I is technically better than DVI-D. In term of compatibility that is, otherwise they're the same.

---But that still doesn't solve why your DVI-D port is not working, which exact model card do you have? (brand ect)

Are you using an adapter to convert the DVI-D to VGA because if so thats why its not working since the DVI-D does not have an analog signal.

azathoth, DVI-I is NOT the same as DVI-D. Though they are very similar, there are 4 extra pins on a DVI-I.

I was afraid of that mathieub....I have two adapters and neither worked, but the port is for a DVI-D; DVI-I will not fit because it doesn't have space for the 4 extra pins.

Any suggestions?

Yeah you will not be able to use a VGA adapter on the DVI port that does not have the extra pins since that supports the VGA signal sorry. You could buy a display port cord and a display port monitor.

Ugh. That's a pain in the butt (and my wallet) but I guess it's time to upgrade my displays.
Thanks for all the help!
