3.6 GHz FX-series Quad core FX 4100 processer 8 Gb of ram1024 gb hardrive nvidia gt610 graphics processor

I was going to save up to build a $2000 computer... but I can't afford that. So I want to play skyrim with no lag at all on max settings... can I?

Solution
With a GPU upgrade you could play on Medium settings, but beyond that you'd need a new CPU (not necessarily but the FX-4100 is not a very good CPU compared to the newer FX chips) and something like a 750 Ti/AMD Equivalent to use High/Ultra settings, and even then you're going to have to expect some lag.

Not evne close on that GPU I have a GTX770 and that will run it on max, id recommend at least an AMD HD6770 since Skyrim is a very CPU reliant game but you do need the GPU upgrade.

what do I need to do because I already want an xbox one it's just that I also want a much more powerful computer for a very cheap price. Do you have any recommendations on what to buy to allow me to play Skyrim and other games on max settings? I want to upgrade my computer in the best way but for a very low price

This is completely unnecessary. Provided he has a decent motherboard and PSU, he'll be just fine swapping out the CPU and Graphics Card.

If you want to play modern games on ultra settings you're going to need to shell out a bit more cash. I would estimate about $500-600 at least, and that might not even be on ultra settings. Games are becoming quite demanding, and you're going to need the extra horsepower to run them.

that is very steep. What settings does like an xbox one play on? It seems like it can play any games.... you don't have to look that up I was just saying...... that is a lot of money... computer games sure are getting ridiculous
