So a friend and I are dong a budget build together. And when I say budget I mean budget. using all spare parts the only thing I have had to buy is a gpu. I found a good deal on some 260's and so I decided to sli. The problem I have is when the second one came in the mail, it was physically smaller, has only one SLI port (other card has two), and only has one 6 pin connector (the other has two). I know the first one is an EVGA, but the only manufacturer info I have on the second is that it was made in china (sticker on the back says so).

I installed each one seperately onto my main rig and they both work, but when I installed the second one i had to reboot the computer before the drivers would work from the previous card. I don't have a way to test the sli prior to the build, and if I need to pick up a different one before then I'd like to know. Any reason to think these two cards wont work in SLI?

theoretically as long as they are deemed the same by NVidia they should be able to SLI
although you should note that they will run at the slower of the two and you may need to update the BIOS on one of the cards although it is unlikely
