Hey guys,

I am just about to take delivery of a new PC, I will be installing Win 8.1 on the new SSD and then will need to install my old windows 7 drive from my old PC to take off some data. My question is:

Will there be any conflict with windows?

I would just like to prepare myself so I can get it up and running ASAP.

New system specs if anyone is interested:

Corsair Obsidian 750D
Asus SABERTOOTH Z87
Intel i7 4770K - (4 x 3.5 GHZ) OVERCLOCKED UPTO 4.4 GHZ
Corsair Hydro Series H80
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 - 2 GB - (MSI) Twin Frozr OC
16 GB Kingston HyperX Beast 2400 MHz (2x8GB)
Samsung 24x DVD/CD Re-Writer/Reader
2 x Sharkoon 12" White Light Tubes
Corsair 750W PSU (Modular) - Low Noise
Samsung 250GB SSD
WD Caviar Black 1Tb x 3

Thanks in advance!

Solution
Just plug the drive in. Windows 8.1 will recognize the file system as NTFS which is what they both run on. just make sure you're booting from the 8.1 drive. Then you will just end up with another drive letter that you can browse to pull out your chrome favorites, pictures of your kids, or the copious amounts of porn you stored on your old PC.
