Help with 24 pin power connector

When i plug it into the motherboard is it supposed to click in? i know that it locks in the with little pressure lock thingy.

well, push it in firmly. sometimes they will click in, sometimes not. just plug it in firmly and try it.

If the lock on the cable is snapped into place then you know you're good.

The parts are keyed to only fit one way.
Check that the shape of the pins match and that the latch is on the proper side.

It does take some pressure to go in all the way.
