Recomended memory for MSI z87 g45 motherboard

Thinking of the Gskill ripjaw x series memory but not sure if it is compatible or not with my motherboard.

What are you planning on using it for?
4GB is usually enough, 8 (I have) will probably become the 'standard' (if you have a 64 bit OS)

8GB is considered entry level these days, even most prebuilt PC come with a minimum of 6-8GB
