Hello, I've received a kit of ram Kingston HyperX Beast 4x4 GB at 1600 Mhz. Problem is my motherboard does not recognize it. My mobo is MSI H55M-P31 with an Intel i3 processor. It won't boot at all, not even in BIOS, just hangs at the logo screen. What should I do or what new motherboard should I buy? Thank

Solution
Try with 1 stick and get to BIOS, set the freq and timings manually, then set the DRAM voltage to 1.55 and raise your MC (memory controller) voltage up + 0.075 (think it's VTT on your mobo)

Nope, it's brand new. It works with 1 stick but when I put all 4 just hangs. I'm a noob at this so don't know much about hardware. My motherboard supports it's frequency and works with a max of 16 gigs of ram. Thank you for your fast reply

Have you tried resetting the BIOS?
Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.
And when the battery is out, press the power button to discharge all the electricity from the system.

If that doesn't work, use 1 memory stick since that works and update bios revision. Refer to your manual for instructions on how to update bios.

@boju Tried reseting CMOS with no luck, still hangs. With 1 stick it boots up 'till windows then blue screen. I'm currently using my old RAM (2x2 gigs). Someone suggested that I should buy a new mobo since this one does not support that kind of RAM but my specifications say that it does.

@pfunkmd My RAM kit is brand new (was sealed) and my motherboard was purchased brand new, so I don't know what you're trying to say

Also, sorry for my english
