Have you dismantled the card recently?Have you got any manual fan control software that might be interfering?

Hmm there might only be one solution to this because if software is not interfering and the card it corecttly connected and the fans plugged in you might have to buy one of these and replace it http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS... or replace it withh a new GPU a GTX 750 ti would be a recomendation from me

until you can get a new fan.. if ur desperate.. use a box fan or other type of fan on the side of your computer facing the gpu... must take side panel of computer off too do it... but this is just until you get a new fan or gpu

hmm I did that only attached a small case fan on top of heatsink using tape ....but it doesn't work dt much as I can't increase fan speeds using afterburner of my all fans . like I slide the fan slider to max and uncheck auto and hit apply . ..afterburner shows fans r at 77% but fans actually don't amp up they spin at same default 40% speed ...any suggestion..what might b the problem. ..?

GTX 770 if you have the money r9 290 is not currently worth the money it commands because of all the bitcoin and litecoin miners and the 280x would've been a good choice if the prices of them didn't jump up about £60
and make sure your PSU has an 8pin PCIe and a 6 pin PCIe because all of these cards are power hungry
