I'm building a new rig. At this stage, it comprises an Asus Z87 mobo, with only the CPU and RAM installed, connected to a Seasonic Platinum 1000W PSU.
I've switched on the PSU expecting to see the green system light shine on the board, but nothing happens, even after I press the case start button.
Maybe it needs a boot disk and/or monitor before that happens, but I'm using the boot disk in my current system, so it's not easy to check.
The Seasonic manual mentions that the PSU won't start if there's something amiss with the mobo. However, I've reset all connections.
Should the light come on in these circumstances?
