Lots of free memory during Maya Batch render

I am a 3d Modeler and i use Autodesk Maya frequently..during my batch render , i opened the resource monitor and seen that only about 8524 mb of physical memory was in use as i have 16 gb ram installed ..i would be grateful if somebody could solve this problem ..

Maybe the render you are doing just doesn't need that much memory. Rendering is not about using all the memory, it uses the memory it needs to fit the vectors, materials, etc in ram. If it needs 8.5, why would it take 16gb.
