XFX R9 270X
Ok..Running heaven benchmark I overclocked GPU to 1150 core cock with afterburner and it did well. went to 1250 core clock and froze, restarted and flood sync error. My question... Is this simply showing me my card isnt stable at that clock speed or is there a bottleneck? or some other problem? good old context clues lead me to think "flood error" means some other part of my pc said "HOLY ****! too much coming in!" kinda like filling something with a fire hose and draining it with a garden hose. I'm pretty green to biggish gpu's like this one and tinkering with them so if anyone can point me in the right direction with this i would be really grateful. Thanks in advance
ps. all temps are stable

ah, ok good to know. so nothing like a cpu i see, much smaller increments. i understand an (in this case dramatic) increase in core clock demands increase in voltage (duh huh moment) but is there a rule of thumb increment in memory clock or is it just a mess with it until you get it kind of thing?
