Both have great response times (1 ms), this means no ghosting on screen. Nice 1080p resolution for both. Both are 24" monitors.
The only real difference (aside from brightness) is refresh rate. The BenQ has a refresh rate of 60Hz, not a big deal, but considering that you'll probably get 100 fps in Dota, you might want the ASUS. This will prevent screen tearing as it has a refresh rate of 144 Hz.

I realize now that you probably won't need super low gtg response times for Dota, so I'll look into an IPS monitor. They have nicer colors, although these TN panel monitors are good, they aren't AS good. I'll let you know what I find!
