Well, I currently have the apu, and I'm planning on getting a gtx 670. My friend has his 760k in his old PC he is parting out, and offered me the CPU for 20$, yes it works, I'm wondering should I get that CPU to replace my apu, since it is a little bit better, and would it reduce a bottleneck with the 670?

They are the same cpu except the A10 had integrated graphics and the 760k does not. No you should not bother.

Unless I'm mistaken, 5800k= 750k and 6800k=760k?

Technically you're right, but they're both Piledriver chips.

you would be better off just overclocking your 5800k. do you have an aftermarket cpu cooler?

So if I over clock it will basically stop any bottleneck that may occur, and yes I have an after market cooler.

No not necessarily, but it will help at least.

well it may not "stop" a bottleneck where in certain games there is one, but it will definitely minimize it. you can get a pretty good jump in performance as long as your aftermarket cpu cooler can keep the temps of the 5800k under control. search around the internet on trinity overclocking.

Overclocking is you best bet without getting a new cpu and motherboard.
