I'm planning to get a GTX Titan Black for gaming and 3D modeling in Maya, but the only ones that are in stock are factory overclocked.

I'm wanting to know if I can reset the video card back to it's recommended clock speed so that Maya will hopefully run a bit more stable.

downclocking or overclocking with a common program "unmodded" like afterburner or precision will not void a warranty, and yes, you can use one of those program to manually lower the core speed if you would like. but you shouldn't need to downclock. the gk110 will run more than fine at any shipped clocks and its very likely you can overclock it to 1.25ghz or higher on the core with 1.212v and still be very stable.
