Radeon R7 260X Help?

Hello :)

I recently bought a Radeon R7 260X for my pc build, but after putting it in and installing the drivers, my computer still won't recognize it.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1

CPU
Intel Core i5 3330 @ 3.00GHz 28 °C
Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology

RAM
8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 533MHz (7-7-7-20)

Motherboard
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. P8H77-M PRO (LGA1155) 27 °C

Graphics
SyncMaster (1360x768@60Hz)

I don't mean to sound condescending, but the way you phrased your situation is kinda off to me: have you connected your monitor to the 260X output display ports? Make sure that your PSU can also handle the additional power draw, and make sure you've plugged the 6-pin pcie power plug to the card properly, if you haven't. Again, I'm just mentioning these things because you didn't mention any of these.

When I connected the monitor to the card, it only gave me a blank screen. I used the transformer to make the card compatible with my VGA monitor.

Everything seems to be in the right place, unless I need to plug in the Crossfire Strip.


Edit: I am an idiot. Forgot to plug in the pcie power.
