Hey guys!
So this is my first shot at building a gaming pc. I mainly want this pc for gaming elder scrolls online, streaming, downloading movies and music... But mainly ESO lol. My budget is somewhere in the $600-$700 range NOT including keyboard, mouse, monitor and a OS. More or less I just went on pcpartpicker.com and picked parts with good ratings and that were in my price range, as well as looking at other builds on this site. Check it out!

I see a lot of other builds having a 500W or higher PSU, thoughts?
Also I'm a little unsure about what video card to go with... There's just so many haha.

Thanks for any input!

Hi there,

First off, PC part picker has shown a potential incompatibility between your parts:

"Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs."

That may require a different board or cpu. Unless the BIOS update is available then you should be fine.

In terms of your PSU, it should be fine for the particular build. However it leaves very little headroom if you're looking at any overclocking or SLI'ing/Crossfiring in the future. Basically "future proofing" your own personal upgrades as best as you can,.

In terms of GPU, you have selected a pretty solid one. However the type of GPU you choose largely depends on what you plan to do with your build. If youre running a single monitor you will get decent fps at most games on high graphics. Multi screens or much newer games may struggle.

Hope this helps,

Regards
