Hey guys,

I am currently working on my first gaming pc custom build and I need as much information as I can possibly get.

In my PC build, I'm looking for it to be able to run games at a solid fps on maxed out settings. Some of the games I'll be playing are; Battlefield, Call of Duty etc.

My price range I'm looking at is $1000 US.

Thank you,

Nick

This one's a little over budget but you'd be pretty happy with it and it can handle a much better gpu down the road. The 760 is a great mid range card that will allow you to play all those games with decent fps. To get truly maxed out settings you may need a stronger gpu for some other titles but this setup will allow you to easily achieve that should you upgrade your budget and gpu down the road.
Also, you may notice there's just the 1 stick of 8GB Ram selected. I usually recommend getting dual channel kits but this should hold you over and if later you get that second stick just make sure it's the same one to increase compatibility. The reason I did this is because of the possible increase of tiled resource technology coming this fall. What that is basically is using more system memory rather than gpu memory for more detailed textured graphics. This will become more common over the next couple of years and while 8GB may be more than enough now it would be nice to only have to spend another $70 on a second stick and keep your fps top notch. So this way you're good now and ready for later. Now if we go ddr4 then that changes the whole ball game but either way this plays it safe. Hope this helps!
Have fun!

Thanks so much! This is really giving me an idea of what I want to build so far.
