Just like the title says. currently i have the OCZ modextreme 600 watts PSU and i wanted to upgrade my GTX 560 to a GTX 770, but i stumbled on this requirement when i was reading the specs of the video card
"600 watt or greater power supply with a minimum of 42 amps on the +12 volt rail."

That one actually gives 42Amps of continuous power on the +12v rails. Still, it meets the minimum requirements. It's actually a really nice PSU.

(to calculate amps when there are multiple 12v rails, you can't just add them together. You have to know how many watts it provides total on the 12v rails, which in this case is 504 watts, then divide by 12v = 42amps.)

yes correct after a bit of digging the max load is 504w on the 12v rails combined. few psu's can output all their rated power on the 12v rail.:) anyway as you say , it will suffice
