From what I've read it has 256 MB VRAM and 256 MB shared memory. That means it has 256 MB of its own and shares 256 MB with your system RAM.

Any reason you don't want to get a dedicated graphics card? Onboard graphic cards have horrible horrible graphics performance.

Might be just because the tools you are using don't know how to handle an onboard card with shared memory. I wouldn't put too much thought into it.

GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a is an onboard gpu so it has shared memory. you can define the maximum amount of your gpu's memory. try through bios. it also depends on the amount of your system memory. this isnt good for gaming . a 50$ dedicated gpu can do better than that

Do you have the box for the card? I have found that some suppliers like zidao sold 64MB Versions.

But your's won't be that, it is 64MB shared memory, but it has a total of 256MB video memory.

Yes it is onboard which often means the number can be set in the BIOS

But better off just buying a GPU for performance

-- I don't have the box, unfortunately :(

But should it not show as 256mb?

How do I set it in Bios?

This may help you with setting Video memory in bios:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwlhLgd5HKY

It won't show 256MB video memory if it is shared a 64MB.

Yay :)  :D  We did it!!!!!!!!!!! :) :D

The option was disabled but, I thought I try my luck and play around with a few settings, and got it, :D
:D :D  BUT I left it at 128mb :)

Thank You!!!

I also wanted to learn more and ask : After doing that ^^ Compareing that to before

I see that there is a massive jump in total available graphics 1855mb nearly 2gb!! now before 1071mb! 1gb

What exaclty is that? Doe it mean, that if I play or use a heavy video/game program it will jump to a maximum 2gb?

Thank Youi!!!

It shouldn't, just have it at the maximum that the card actually has, hope I helped you. But now that you changed it to 128MB dedicated it will be using more and there will be a performance difference
