I've been noticing this happening with all my games recently (Nvidia Geforce). Just a couple weeks ago, I was able to play every game in my library in a smooth 60 fps, usually with graphics set to max. However, nowadays I cannot even play LoL without 40-30 fps- if i was lucky.
I cannot know if it was a driver bug or anything, but I know for a fact it isn't a physical problem- i checked the inside of my rig for dust, and it was nowhere near a "problem" level. Any ideas?

Have you got integrated graphics if so check that your not using them instead of your dedicated GPU. just a thought sometimes it happens...

UPDATE: Ok, problem has been fixed! Turns out my HDMI was connected to the motherboard instead of the GPU itself. Made a whole lot of sense once I read the above guy's comment. Cheers!
