Hello everyone, I own a Samsung laptop (NP350V4C-S01), I recently bought a new HDD for it because last one had a mechanical failure.

New HDD's reference is HTS541010A9E662, 1TB, 5400 rpm.

My problem is that when I tried to install Windows 8 on that disk using a booteable flash drive, my laptop doesn't start:

It shows Samsung logo, and after that the screen goes black, although you can notice that is on.

Now, I changed the boot priority to use a booteable flash drive, a Dvd, the new HDD, nothing seems to work, although I know HDD won't start since hasn't an OS installed on it.

So I used F10 to enter booting menu and choosed USB from there, by doing that I was able to launch Windows 8 installation, and everything was going just fine until laptop had to do a reboot in order to continue the instalation process, then same issue than before: Samsung logo appears, but nothing after that, just a black screen and a lot of HDD reading sound.

I'm completely lost here, I will apreciate any help you can give me, and I will like to apologize for my bad english in advance, It's 5:45 am here and I haven't sleep at all pulling my hair off trying to solve this without any success.

PS. I've also tried installing Windows 7 and same thing happened, everything working great until the system had to reboot.

Solution
id let it run. until you can get somebody with a different opinion because if that doesnt work im at a loss. are you hearing any abnormal noises from the replacement drive when it reboots, clicking or whirring?

I did, that was exactly the software I used. I've also tried rufus, and as I said, also tried a Dvd burned from an original .iso.

do you have ac power plugged in the whole time? and since you can see it is still getting power when it does the reboot to continue installing the osi would let it run over night. maybe it is having trouble reading off the usb.

Nope, the sounds are pretty normal reading/writing sounds, I know abnormal sounds, last HDD died after a couple weeks making them u_u.

I'll follow your advise and let it run, thank you for taking the time to answer.
