No signal problem - power issue?

Hi, i have just recently built my new PC but im having troubles - firstly my monitor gets signal and boots fine using my new graphics card gtx 760, but as soon as i plug in my pci wireless network card my screen has no signal.

im using a 500w corsair PSU.

Full specs
i5 3570k
asus p8z77-v lx
8gb corsair ram
500w corsair plus PSU
2g EVGA gtx 760 which requires 8 pin and 6 pin.

Where am i going wrong?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes power is off

Also Ive tried all 3 available PCI slots and two different network cards that work because i checked on my old system.

Not as far as im aware, the thing it touches is the slot at the bottom of the case and the screw hole in the top.

Pictures will be a problem atm as i have no available way of taking any.

And no the drivers arnt installed, do you think if i installed the drivers while the card is out and then retryed it might possibly work ?
