I am just about to build my first PC and I was wondering how to setup a build with an SSD and HDD. I would like the SSD to hold my OS and my mainly used applications and my HDD for general storage.

My build is this:
i5 3570
ASRock z77
G-Skill 8GB DDR3-2113 Memory
Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB
Seagate 500GB 7200RPM

MSI GTX760
Corsair CX600

Also, the HDD already has things on it which I would like to get rid of. Is there a way I can do this easily?

Thanks

Solution
Install the OS with only the SSD connected.
Verify the boot order. SSD, then maybe DVD.
Drivers, updates...
Once everything is running right, connect the HDD
In Disk Management, delete all existing partitions and reformat
Now start to install your applications. Some on the SSD, maybe some on the HDD.

Also, see these for how to manage space with the SSD:
Win 7 & 8: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1834397/ssd-redirecting-static-files.html
Win 8.1: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2024314/windows-redirecting-folders-drives.html

Thanks, I will probably build tomorrow because of your quick and simple instructions and the great how-to on the space management.
