hi I've had my Pc for nearly a year now and and I seem to be getting fps drops in most games.
The problems is I HAVE to use vsync in near enough every game otherwise I get massive stuttering and screen tearing. I've tried forcing vsync and triple buffering through D3Doverrider and
I am currently using Radeon Pro. I have also tried limiting my fps with MSI afterburner and Riva tuner in conjunction with each other. I limit Fps to 60 which results in very apparent screen tearing and I read on another forum that is because the frame times and the refresh rate of my monitor are not in sync hence the need for vsync.
Here are my Specs
FX8350 (was overclocked to 4.6Ghz) down clocked to reduce heat and because I didn't see a performance gain
Crossfire sapphire 7970's. I have one of them currently disabled
Asus Crosshair V Formula - z mobo
H80i
Corsair TX850 Power Supply
250GB Samsung EVO SSD
3TB WD Green ( I Think)
So as you can see im abit stuck and HIGHLY frustrated
I am 16 and have no money because Im currently at Sixth Form
I previously formatted my SSD and reinstalled windows 7 professional 64 bit
I installed AMD's 13.12 Drivers after the clean install because I was told 14.1 was abit buggy but my problems seemed to get worse with 13.12 so i uninstalled the 13.12 drivers and used 14.1
14.1 didn't seem to make much of a differnce and it was still bad.
Before the clean install I was using 9.5 Beta drivers and was having problems but not as many as with 13.12 or 14.1.
So i got 9.5 beta from Guru3d and it about the best that I can get.
But i think my problems are with my CPU
So..... any help would be greatly appreciated
