Well i have my eyes set on few cards on new egg like
gigabyte gtx 660
sapphire 7850
750ti
and also on r9 270 (unfortunately, price sky rocketed)
so what would be best for me? my current sepcs are:
i3 550 first gen
intel dh55pj(i will replace them in few months with latest gen i5 and a mobo)
2X2gb ram
500gb Samsung hdd
a monitor with 1600X900 res
psu is 450w(i will buy a 550w with a gpu).
and also has any one used this board with a longer card cuz i am pretty sure that those gpus(660,7850 and r9 270) will block my sata ports. so can anyone suggest me a solution? I need to be sure before buying any longer cards. thank you (in advance.)

I'd be worried about your RAM ports also if I'm looking at the right board...

750ti will have a lower power consumption and also is pretty darn strong.

Not to hip with the i3 but I'd worry about a bottleneck with some higher cards, probably not though. So if you can the 660 is a really good card for it price right now. Since AMD's BTC explosion :/

Get a shorter 750TI variant (with single fan) EVGA: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... Zotak and PNY also have such. It will fit OK with your current MB and you can stay with the current PSU.
With the PSU money you can try getting 2x4GB RAM 1600+ as valedem suggests.

Just get a GTX 750Ti Superclocked by EVGA. Just $155. I have the GTX 750 Superclocked for $125 and it is great really.

so, 750 ti is the best bet for me then? how much can i push crisis 3 with my current specs with 750ti included or may be a 660, any ideas? to tell you the truth i have been using a 9400gt (a nightmare for gaming) from my old pc. I tried to run it (knew it wouldn't work) but the game said dx11 compatible gpu is need. so checked on my laptop with 7630m with 2nd gen i5. it worked but max frames is 15-18 at low setting. so what frames can i get on it???? I am so desperate to paly that game.

Crysis 3 is arguably one of the MOST GPU intensive games created so far. Probably THE most.

See Anandtech's benchmark for the game. The GTX 660 is about 33% better.
