Intro
Hello everyone, my name is Brian and as the title suggests I am in dire need of a new rig.
This will be my first build, and I am hoping to purchase the parts necessary this next coming week.
Budget
In terms of pricing i was hoping that i could figure something out for 1700$ but I am willing to go up to 2000$ if necessary.
What will this be used for
I'll be using this build mainly for music production and live streaming, (also for graphic design and video rendering but I'm sure it wont be anything too heavy when it comes to that side of things.)
Just a small list of the programs/games that will see day to day use if that will help
-Adobe After Effects
-Adobe Photoshop
-Ableton Live 9
-Fl Studio 10
-Kontakt (and many of the libraries in conjunction included in Native Instruments Komplete Collection)
-OBS (for streaming)
and ill be streaming mostly moba/rts gameplay (heroes of newerth, dota2, league of legends, starcraft 2 etc... so im sure the video card doesn't have to be top shelf, although i would prefer something nice so i can still enjoy games like battlefield 4 in my free time.
Monitor/Peripherals
I already have a monitor/keyboard/mouse/sound interface/speakers and necessary software from my previous computer so I don't need any of that.
The resolution of my monitor is 1920x1080
Preferences/Other
I might consider overclocking this rig to squeeze a little bit of performance
And i am willing to incorporate SLI/Crossfire technology into my build; granted I have 0 experience with it.
Power Efficiency isn't much of a concern for me & this thing can sound like a leaf blower for all I care, so long as it works and the integrity of the build is not in jeopardy.
I know given the rate at which we are moving with technology future proofing might be a problem with such a low budget but I'd like to be able to leave space to upgrade this build a year or two from now.
I absolutely despise windows 8/8.1 so I'll be most likely purchasing the Windows 7 OEM
I'm an Intel guy, I think that the core i7 ivy bridge/haswell lines will suit this build best but if you can convince me that something on AMD's side will work I'm willing to go with it.
And i believe that is all sorry for such a long post everyone but I wanted to be able to cover everything so that we can figure out the best build possible for what I need.
