Re installing windows 7

Hi. recently my laptop began running really slow so i thought of re installing windows 7, but before i do so i have a couple of questions. I got a copy of microsoft office from my school and if i copy the program files over to a backup hdd, can i just transfer the program files back again?
And if i download a windows 7 iso file from the internet, can i still use my product code from underneath the laptop?

No, program files contains installed programs, so you cant just copy over, they needs to be installed on a fresh OS.

Yes, if you have a legit product key of OS, then you can download the exact same version with bits(32/64) of OS and you can use the product key.
