What is a good sound card? Which one sould I get?

Looking for 5.1--7.1? Might look at the Xonar DX, at about $90 it's pretty reasonable...if wanting better, there's the Xonar Essence STX, about $190 last I looked
I look on the web and I found that the creative labs sound blaster z could be a good option. I found it for 79$, would it be a better solution than the xonar dx at this price? Also, i found that the titanium hd would be a good option. Any others suggestions?

I personally use a Creative ZxR, great sound card and 1/4 jacks! People say the software doesn't work but it works perfectly for me. My board is a Asus VI Formula which already has super good onboard compared to most but doesn't compare to the ZxR.
If that's too much then I'd go with a Zx. I like Asus a lot but when it comes to the sound I feel their cards are better for gaming than music, but they probably really aren't, it's just my opinion.
