Pretty much as the title says. My new (first) build has been trying, and after two days I got it to boot. Loaded windows 8.1 on my ssd from odd, but when I try to install the hdd it isn't recognized and worse, when I install the gpu it won't boot. Any help is hugely appreciated.

My build:
i5 4670k
Asus gtx 770
Asus Maximus vi impact
Corsair tx650 psu
Samsung evo ssd
Seagate 2tb hdd
Corsair 250d mini itx case

Ok, I figure out the hdd had to be partitioned, though I don't really understand why. Still stumped by this gpu. I mean, it's even from the same manufacturer as my motherboard. I tried prioritizing pcie, and plugging my hdmi into the gpu instead of mobo. No change. Still just turns on lights and fans, odd spins, but nothing on screen. Seems like a pretty common problem, but every solution I see is different. Really frustrating.

So, I exchanged the gpu. Put new one in, and everything was great for two days. Then, it started doing this thing where it would crash when I played games after about 5 minutes. Worked fine on desktop and basic stuff but didn't wanna play games. So I pulled out the gpu. Then, it started doing this thing where when I tried to power on it would try to power up for a second or two and stop, and then try again, until I switched off the psu. I scoured this sight and the web and concensus seemed to say psu problem. So now, I have a new psu, and I can boot fine sans gpu, but when I plug it in I get the multiple failed attempts to start again. So, I'm guessing I got a mobo with a bad pcie slot, but as it's mini itx I only got the one, so Anybody got a suggestion before I exchange the motherboard ? Any help is greatly appreciated.

For anybody who may read this someday with a similar issue and wonder, I rma'd the psu after reading a lot about similar problems. I actually got a different brand and size, so not real scientific, but I plugged it in and it's worked perfectly ever since.
