I can't disable the on board wifi. Bios settings have no effect. Connection is unsecured. Any idea's on how to disable it or make it a secure connection?

in the bios under onboard devices if it there will be one for the wifi card if it hard wired to the mb. if not in windows under network devices right click and click disabled. with open wifi connection you have to log into your router (192.168.1.1)
put in the password and admin name and then under secureity settings turn on wep or wpa. (wpa is better) put in a keyname and make sure your write it down.

The problem is the motherboard, not my router. The connection is identified as ASUS, not my router name (and the router is secure). It is only active when the PC is on. As I've said, the Bios settings have no effect.
