I assume these are all NVIDIA GeForce cards... correct? Price ranges?
I do want something that will handle the games the (pre/almost Teenage) grand kids will play on the machine.
Also assume these cards are available at Tiger Direct?? Elsewhere?

Yes, all nvidia, will make driver issues less likely, if you want it to be gaming capable, then a 750/750ti would be great depending on budget and would be good for casual gaming. Should all be available at Tiger. Remember they are all made by nvidia and then often rebadged, so there is very little between them, go for warranty and price.

Many thanks for your help. It's much appreciated. Actually I was hoping for something in the $50-$100 price range and the ones suggested are above that. I really do not want to spend too much on a 3+ year old desktop that I will be replacing within two years.

I'd suggest that you consider which graphics card you'd want to put in the next build you'd be getting.
Get that GPU now and port it on the newer desktop -- all graphics cards today are PCI-E 3.0 and surely this PC will not be used for gaming after getting the new desktop?
