:pfff:hi,can anyone tell me what is wrong if my pc just keep on saying repairing pc and then diagnosing pc and keeps failing to repair?

Solution
Can you provide more details? Which version of Windows do you have on that system, what is the make and model?

The most likely possibilities are a corrupt copy of Windows (due to malware possibly) or a failing hard drive.

Do any options appear before you go into the repair screen? Press F8 during boot-up to see more options, and try "safe mode." (this won't work with Windows 8 but if you have 7 or earlier it will)

Hi there,
What actually happened was that a virus struck my pc. Soooo i replaced my harddrive, and also my graphicscard. Then i installed a legal bought Windows 8 on my pc(which was running on Xp previously). Since then it started by saying automatic repair is trying to repair your pc. The next it says diagnosing your pc and then automatic repair could not repair your pc,and that goes on like this. I took out the little battery on the harddrive, then it goes to that screen which you must press F4,but i dont know what must happen there. I tried to repair it after the auto repair was failed at the advanced options, but it wont initialize the installation disk either.

Hmm... well there's no need to replace a HDD to remove a virus. But anyway, where did the new HDD come from ? Let me suggest this diagnostic software to test the drive:

http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/seatools-dos-master/

THis can be burned to a disk and booted from to run the tests.

Also, what are the specs of this PC? If it's an XP-era computer I'd like to double check that it can run 8

HI, yes it is XP era. The harddrive is a 1tb Seagate Baracuda. I insert the new one because a message appeared on the screen which told me to repair or replace the hdd. And its 2,66ghz cpu with ddr2 ram. total ram is now 2,5gigs. I just take the whole pc apart, even take out and replaced the cpu,but it still does the same.
