my PC came with a 1tb Seagate drive. I just got a new 2tb Seagate drive and I want to install W7 to the new 2tb one, and use the old 1tb for storage.
When I run the W7 disc installer I delete all partitions and then they say "Unallocated space".
I select the 2tb drive and when it gets to the last part "Finalazing installtion" it gives me an error message saying that W7 cannot be installed on this computers hardware. then I click "ok" and then I get another message that says "Windows could not configure windows, reinstall installation"......WTF??
both drives are the same brand and they've been inserted correctly; but I just can't get it to install to the 2tb drive...I'm going nuts trying to figure this out.
If I reinstall to the old 1tb it works fine, it just wont do it to the 2tb drive.
what am I doing wrong?? is it possible the drive is faulty? or is there some steps that I missed?
