Hi, i bought a corsair CX500M PSU, and a V3 thermal take case. This case has a bracket for the power supply in the bottom, not the top. It also has ventilation holes/grids on the bottom of the case. So my question is do i install the PSU with its fan pointing upwards into the case, or downwards out of the case?

either, nominally the air will be cooler pulling from outside the case but if it is on a carpeted floor then I'd argue the airflow and dust load is higher, therefore from inside is better. There is nothing else to consider, it's another exit fan and so may help air distribution.

Hmmm... i guess i will have to have it on my desk instead of the carpeted floor. Right?

Yes that is a great idea to help with cooling efficiency.

well if you talking about Installing the PSU the PSU will only install one day. The holes are meant to line up only one way and the fan should be pointing down. Thats the whole point of a Bottom mounted PSU. The hot air from the PSU never enters the case and also the PSU is cooled down by outside cooler air NOT being cooled by hot air already in the case.

New development: This case has spots for like 4 fans... 1 exhaust on the back panel, and 2 spots on the top for additional exhaust, but the problem is... the cpu fan plug is in the way, and the ram latch is in the way for both fans on the top! I don't know why they built it like this.

It seems there is a spot on the bottom for another fan near the PSU. Should i install it as intake or exhaust near the PSU?

btw I already put in the intake fan at the front of the case.

Yea intake should either be the Front or if you have a Fan on the Side panel that you take off. Top and Back should be exhaust. If you have a GPU and the side panel has a spot to put in a fan put one there. Will help cool your GPU quite a bit.
