For the minuscule CPU performance boost, do I need to disable onboard audio to free up CPU cycles. I know it's tiny but any bit helps. Thank you.

Solution
Not really but you can. There isnt much the CPU does with the onboard sound card. Thats usually managed by the South Bridge.
