Chirping sound from gpu

hello,
i was playing far cry3 there was some chirping noise from gpu! its not coming from fans! when i switch to desktop it lowers a bit! but when i go back to game it starts again! should i RMA it?

ahm you sure it's not from the GPU fans?, going to desktop reduces usage of GPU which in turn will reduce speed of it's fans, that could explain the noise lowered when in desktop.

Well it's hard to diagnose without being able to hear what's going on, could be coil whine or some EMI from some RF device in or near your house, else as you said could be a faulty GPU.

and i saw in the afterburner chirping changes as the load on gpu does!
