Hello

I'm tired of trying to update my laptop's VGA driver

my laptop configuration is:

HP Compaq 6910p
Core2Duo 2.2 Ghz
4GB ram
500GB HD
VGA/Chip type: ATI ATOMBIOS memory 256 MB
Current display mode: 1024x768(32bit)(64Hz) "Which isn't correct resolution"

I did every thing by uninstalling driver and give path to ATI folder but It didn't work... everytime windows gives me notification that your driver is up to date :/

Please help me how can I get rid of this fuzzy resolution

Regards

Verify that the driver from HP is actually newer than the driver you currently have installed (from HP).

Wolf sends is correct.
You can not install AMD/ATI drivers.
You have to go to the HP website and install their specific drivers. Laptops are not built to a standard. Different manufacturers implement the chip differently so you have to use their specific driver.

You probably have the Microsoft driver loaded. From windows update. which would be a newer driver than the HP website one. Download the driver from the HP website.
Uninstall Video driver. Run Driver Sweeper. This should clean all registry entries and INF. files.
Reboot and install the HP driver.
Go to windows update and remove the checkmark for downloading and installing hardware drivers.

Got it fixed thank you guys for your flawless support :)

Let me tell you how I got it fixed I hope it may help others too if they have same issue

1: Download specific driver according to your chip
2: change compatibility mode to windows 8 and run as administrator
3: after installation it will create folder on your C driver it could have any name
4: Go to device manager no need to uninstall driver just update driver and give it path to that folder in your C driver
5: Boom! all done enjoy your fixed resolution

Thanks

Not trying to be mean or harsh but a very important piece of information was missing from your original posts.
You did not tell us that the operating system had been upgraded to Win8 from Vista. With this piece of information we would of suggested compatibility mode from the beginning.
Glad you got it working. Enjoy.
