Trouble getting windows to see a second internal hard drive

the hard drive in question does not appear under the list volume line
UPDATE: I got the computer to recognize the drive by unhooking my drive with windows and going through the motions of installing windows until the point of choosing a drive. However, now BIOS will not allow me to set the original drive as the primary boot device
