My friend asked me to fix his computer. He got a ransomware downloaded and now it's causing all sorts of problems. I'm trying to boot the system in safe mode so I can download, install, and run a cleaning program, but everytime I boot up in safe mode with networking or in safe mode period, it reboots again! It's very frustrating, and he and I are both living in a shelter so we don't have the money to spend on any new software! This ransomware program has completely hijacked his system, and even trying to install windows 7 or linux from a disk or usb has proven fruitless! I'm very frustrated now!
