Can my PSU run two Zotac GTX 780 Ti AMP Editions?

Hello, I have a Corsair 1050W HX Series Modular PSU. My CPU is an Intel Sandybridge i5-2500K. I also have 8GB of Corsair Vengeance LP Arctic White RAM. Would my PSU be adequate enough to handle two of these cards in SLI, and if so could I overclock the cards and CPU further without issue?

Plenty of power even with as much overclocking as you want to do.

Only 950 watts is recommended for 2 x GTX 780 Ti cards in Sli. And that is an overestimation.

you have 87.5amps on the 12v rail. the 780ti's will top out at about 42amps each with a very high overclock. you would be fine with that power supply.

No. A system with a GTX 780 Ti needs 42 amps. A single GTX 780 Ti will not use 500 watts all by itself. Amps x volts = watts. So 42 amps x 12 volts = 504. Since a PCI-E 3.0 slot and each 8 pin connector can theoretically supply 150w each you can see where that would not be possible.

the 780ti kingpin modded to 1.5v on the core and running about a 1.65ghz overclock pulls roughly 450watts. it theoretically has a maximum of about 512w according to specs. this is an obvious very high overclocking worst case situation.

true. point being he will likely never top 350w on each card. his power supply is very premium and more than enough.
