If your hard drive meets the space requirements for windows 7 system builder, yes you can install windows. Boot from the windows 7 install disk/usb and click continue until you are greeted by the screen that says recommended or advanced install. Click advanced, select the hard drive you want to format, and click format. This will completely wipe the hard drive, and click continue and the installation will begin. (If you are using a cd to install it to a mechanical hard drive, give it about 20 mins. SSD and usb3 drives will make the installation noticeably faster)
