I am going to buy a new pc. First i was thinking of i7 4770k then I saw this

http://www.techspot.com/review/734-battlefield-4-benchm...

So it says i5 4670k and i7 4770k are the same and hyper threading does nothing on gaming. Then I found another like that said hyper threading had an effect in which i7 4770k was ahead

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Intel/Core_i5_4670K_...

So what's real plz help me.

If your building strictly a gaming machine go 4670k.

Into Video editing and high end production software go 4770k with a lot of ram.

Do you have a need for Hyper-Threading, use any apps that require it? If not the 4670K is prob the better choice - what do you plan on doing with your new rig?

The i7 is "better" but it's usually not worth the extra $100-120 in gaming. The 4670k offers 95% of the performance making it a much better value.

I am basically going for gaming. So Hyper-Threading has no effect at all on gaming.

Yes the extra $100-120 would be better put on the video card.
